EP 8 - How to Become Financially Free
TOPIC: How realistic is it for you to become financially free?
How realistic is it for you to become financially free?
First of all, to answer this question, you need to get clear on what it represents to you. For example, to me, it means creating financial wealth so that I can do the things I really love to do, and also, to help other people achieve their goals and their financial freedom.
If you’re currently struggling with money and you can’t even imagine it possible to live a life where you don’t have to be concerned with what you put on the table the next day, let me tell you something: Everyone can become financially free if they follow some basic rules.
In a nutshell, all you have to do is be aware of how much money you spend, making sure that you use less than you earn. I cannot stress this enough - You only get rich from the money you don’t spend! Also, you have to figure out how you can make more money from passive income. One of my favorite ways of earning money regularly is by investing in stocks or real estate. You could also invest in companies that you believe in or in people that you know have great ideas, but no resources to put them in practice. And you don’t even have to invest much, but the interest and dividends you earn are just piling up year after year, without you even lifting a finger. Pretty clever, right?
One of the reasons I wanted to become financially free is because I love to travel. Each year, I spend most of my days going from country to country, because I want to see new places and learn new things. These experiences allow me to grow, gain knowhow on different subjects, which, in return, grants me the opportunity to help other people do the same. There are a lot of reasons why a person wants to achieve financial freedom, and you have to find the ones that motivate you to constantly pursue this goal.
Becoming financially free doesn’t happen overnight, but it’s an achievable ambition for anyone, including yourself, if you invest time, energy, money, and knowledge in the right things. I believe the reasons why some people struggle with money their whole lives are ignorance and laziness, because opportunities are right around, literally, every corner. I think you’re none of these things because you already took the time to read these lines, which means you’re a person that has the spark inside to fire up the thirst for continuous learning, improving, and growing.
If you want to learn more on what are the things you can do to gain passive income each month, I’d recommend listening to Episode 08 of the Value Driven podcast, where I discuss in detail this subject and many more.
